About Lindy Heirloom

Lindy Heirloom was founded by Leize Gaillard, a Charleston native and avid seamstress.

Professionally, Leize is a dedicated full time REALTOR in Charleston, SC; however, the majority of her leisure time is spent in the pursuit of her passion for garment sewing with special interest in couture dressmaking, tailoring for women, and high-end/luxury ready-to-wear garment construction.  

Leize began sewing by machine at age 10 (incidentally, the same year she started Cotillion dancing classes), and after a hiatus from sewing during high school and college, Leize came back to the craft with new passion as a young professional. She has been honing her skills in both machine and hand sewing over the last 20 years. 

Recognizing a market need for high-quality special occasion dresses for older girls, Leize launched Lindy Heirloom in 2024. For now, Lindy Heirloom intentionally remains a small operation with limited production runs and exclusive trunk shows in the Charleston area.
